This was a highly anticipated piece. Even before brush met canvas, Horizon held weight — it was always meant to be a piece that would evolve within The Collector’s Circle.
In the images from this first session, you’ll see something rare for me: a compositional sketch on paper, a small acrylic study , and my deliberate palette choices displayed on my color swatch cards on the easle— reds, blues, coppers. These weren’t typical colors for me, but after months of exploring them in the Small Works (some of which are now part of the Founding Collection), they felt right.
The vision was forming. The preparation was more extensive than usual. And the energy behind it? Charged with intention. The underpainting was more structured and realized than typical. This was promising.
