Horizon Session 2

In the audio that I recorded this after the fact — while going through the Living Archive and getting things ready for the Circle, with my baby sleeping nearby. I wanted to share what I remember from that first day of leafing. I’d been so excited. I had done sketches (which I almost never do), had a strong color palette, was inspired by Ed Mell and those angular lines — and the underpainting felt expansive, like something new was opening.

But once the leaf was down and I stepped back… total confusion. I didn’t recognize what had come through. It wasn’t what I imagined — and that moment kicked off months of learning to let go. What began as such a clear vision became a long stretch of listening and letting the piece show me what it wanted to be.
